Wheelchair Rain Poncho Giveaway (closed Jan. 3, 2010, but thanks for your interest!)
How would your son or daughter like a warm, dry wheelchair rain poncho this winter?
The outer fabric of this rain poncho is a buttery-soft "utility" fabric, a plastic coated nylon that drapes beautifully and folds flat. I'd describe it as "ocean blue" with a bit of a shine. The inside is a soft coordinating blue-and-aqua batik flannel. I will custom-fit the snaps for the winner so it is sized for their child, as described in the wheelchair rain poncho tutorial.
Doll Play Communication Book Giveaway (Closed)
Is there a baby doll on your little girl’s Christmas list? Would she want to use a communication notebook with her new baby? And would you like to save yourself a heap of time this month by getting one already made for you?
If so, you are the perfect winner for the sample notebook from the Playtime Communication Book post I’m giving away this month! I’d love for your little one to have it! The cover is brand new to spruce it up for the giveaway. Since only adults handled the symbol cards (okay, okay, just me), they are in like-new condition. There are YEARS of life left in this book!

The Giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Ann Marie and her daughter! Thank you to all who entered. Please join us again for more fun giveaways in the future...and good luck!
G-Tube Jammies Giveaway (Closed Nov. 12, 2010)
I'm excoted to announce that I'm giving away the size 4T g-tube jammies featured in Tuesday's tutorial! They are so soft and snuggly. Wouldn't they look cute on your little one (sorry about the pink, boys!)?
The one thing I ask is that you enter to win only if your child has a g-tube and wears--or will one day wear--size 4T.
The contest closes on Friday, November 12, at 9 pm, Pacific Standard Time. I'll put all the addresses into a hat, have one of my kids pick one at random and announce the winner! Then I'll mail out the sleepers (new, tags are still on and just tucked inside for the photo) to one warm-and-toasty lucky winner! Good luck!
********The Giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to our lucky winner, Dawn! Many, many thanks to our other entries as well for participating. I hope you had fun!
Also, I removed the generous comments to protect folks' email addresses. I did save your very kind words on my computer, though, because they make me feel so happy!*********

How wonderful that you got to help with the program! It's nice to know that some people in charge of these things are finally listening to someone who knows what she's talking about! My email

After a winter full of illness-mostly mine this time, I recommend you get your pertussis vaccine, the one you got as a kid has worn off--and nothing but fussing at school about tobii trial, Abby is about to restart the trial, this time at the high school ( gasp!) and on the C12 model, as the P10 was so heavy and bulky it couldn't go between classes. We have the PODD on it, but only a modified version. Very few pages except for in the "I want" column. I'm more interested in "I think" or "I feel", but they just go to one adjective, and then it's back to guessing and yes/no. I still feel like we're kind of wandering, with no plan as to where we're going, or how we will get there. They haven't explored any of the language systems in it at all. school gets it much more than we do. I only had it on weekends, because I had to go pick it up if I wanted it--an hour on the road--and bringing it back and setting up was disruptive. I haven't found the parts where she should be exploring, or anything other than videos that she approaches with glee. But I'm still hoping..... I wish we lived closer! I'd love to get your help! I love what you're doing here. Your stuff is copied and sent into school frequently. I can't say for certain if anyone reads it or appreciates it! But I do, and I'm trying to spread the word. take care, Donna
Hi Donna,
Consider yourself officially "entered." :0) Good luck!
I'm very sorry to hear about the pertussis and have to chime in a resounding "AMEN" to your recommendation for the vaccine. I got bit by it last fall and was surprisingly sick. Yuck. I hope you are all mended.
Yes, I wish we lived closer! I'd love to see Abby get to play with Sono Lexis on the Tobii C-12. It takes a fair bit of personalization, but I have grown to like a lot. She should have all kinds of communication opportunities, from comments to questions to conversation "repairs." SL would allow that.
Thanks for sharing what you find here. That makes my day!
Hello,
I have been following your blog by e-mail for awhile now.
Could you please enter my name into the draw for Listen and Respond Pro?
Thanks

I would love to enter and would share it on the MAP we lend to our homebound teacher to use as she pleases. Might even be worth seeing how Nichole reacted to it, you never know if it could improve alternate access.
Thanks for your great blogs, Rose-Marie!
